Here's a list of some of our clients and what some of them have to say about Antiquity:

We first saw Antiquity at a focus group at the B.A.D.A in 2008 and found it truly impressive. They really understand all the different aspects of running an antiques business and have designed a really slick programme where all the modules (contacts, stock, invoicing, website updates etc.) are linked together in an amazingly intuitive way. I'm a bit of a computer novice and found it very simple to use. They imported our data from our old system, trained us how to use Antiquity and have given us terrific support - which I think is as important as the software itself. It’s a relatively small investment that it should pay for itself very quickly and I strongly recommend it to every antiques dealer. – Gregg Baker, Asian Art, London

We came across Antiquity whilst attending the Winter Olympia Fair 2008 where the team gave us a demonstration of the software. What first attracted us was that the stock database, website, email, invoicing etc are all linked, making communication with clients and web updates (for example) a lot simpler for us. The programme has been well thought out and tailored to suit any antique dealer! The support has been super, we have been in constant communication with antiquity who have listened to all our requirements as a business and the improvements we were looking for on our previous database. – Manfred Schotten, Manfred Schotten Antiques

Antiquity software has transformed our business. Our clients know that our website is completely up to date, accurate and we are able to send out quotes instantly to one or all our clients seamlessly. Invoices, statements, VAT reports are all bonus features. The real gem here is the ability to have a database of clients/suppliers that has no duplicates. Each contact has a sales history and the history of what they’ve been quoted on specific items. With this software, we have a mine of information immediately available; no other company could provide such a detailed history using a combination of Word/Excel or anything else. Our records link to each other within our system so I have the ability to report on almost anything to do with the stock and our contacts, extremely quickly. This concept of one software solution for a small business is the way of the future. Anyone still using stock books, web programs and Photoshop should think again. Until you have a single solution that ties everything together, it’s hard to explain the benefits, but if you had to go back to when you bought your first computer this is probably what you might have dreamed of. If you are thinking about using this software for your business, here are some of the daily tasks I don’t have to do or think about any more:
The other features that make the software such a boost to a business are to do with marketing – we very quickly realized that our clients loved receiving photographs of new stock. Antiquity made this so easy and now we regularly keep clients updated, sales just become easier when customers know what you have.
My favourite feature? It has to be when a really good client turns up and wants 56 photographs, measurements and prices sent to them. This can now happen so quickly, you just sit back and wait for the phone call.” – Andrew Damonte, Westenholz Antiques
- Using a calculator or Excel for any business function.
- Creating a Word document that needs to be saved and emailed. A PDF is more universal and always is the correct file size, and its created and saved for you with just one click.
- Resizing images for email, web or a quote (yes that’s 3 times if you want to do it properly). Again the PDF will open on anyone’s computer and will fly through cyberspace.
- Trying to keep a record of what was quoted to a client at any given point in time.
- Struggle with an address book - Antiquity handles multiple people and addresses all under one main contact.
- Trying to work out how much profit you made each month.
- Update a website, you wont ever have to take something off the site because the software will do it for you once sold!
